About
Established in 2007, Johnnie Girl Publishing is the brainchild of writer and editor,
Halima Lee. Named in honor of her late grandmother, Johnnie Rivers, the company was
created for two purposes: to provide editorial services to the public; and produce
inspiring and entertaining works of fiction.
Writing under the pen name H.L. Sweatte, Lee's debut novella, How to Bake a Cupcake, was
released under the Johnnie Girl imprint in December of 2008. The company is not accepting manuscripts at this time, but looks forward to opening its doors to fresh, talented voices in the future.
